Our city: Alicante

Great tourist location, open to the Mediterranean sea, enjoys of splendid beaches and exceptional and excellent climate, an evidence of that is the 18°C annual average and its more than 2900 hours of sun per year.

It is a city that combines classicism with modernity, leisure with business, fun with studies and even beaches with mountains in the same urban area, not to mention its island, Tabarca, the only one with inhabitants in the 'Comunidad Valenciada' and having a submarine natural park of exquisite beauty.

Beaches and Creeks:

It has the blue EU flags all along its 8 beaches, for its water, cleaning and services’ quality. Among them we can mention Playa de San Juan (San Juan Beach) with 8 km. of thin sand, considered as one of the best of Spain.

Alicante houses the great OAMI offices building (EU Home Market Amortization Office), in front of the Mediterranean, and the Institución Ferial Alcantina (Alcantina fairground institution) of the University of Alicante. The huge business, commercial and university dynamism has favoured during the last years a great growth of the conventions and fairground contests activities, thus acquiring a serious prestige thanks to the professionalism shown by the city.

In its surroundings, at Playa San Juan being the nearest one, there is a very good offer of Golf courses (the Alicante Golf, the Golf Club Alenda, Campo de Golf Bonalba, and Club de Golf El Plantio).

The Alicante nautical station favours the sports offer related to the sea, where you can find different nautical and sports activities. It is also possible to go on tours to the Tabarca island by motorcycle, to take diving or sailing courses, etc.

Food has a privileged place within the offers of the city, rice, fish, salted fish and meat are just some examples of the sailor nature of the city

A lively night life:

El Barrio (the neighbourhood), known name given to the old part of the city, concentrates cool pubs, bars and 'mesones', some places with live music, preferably jazz. The youngest have their gathering place in the Zona (zone), at the back of the Explanada.

La Ruta de la Madera, at the back of the Central Market also offers more alternatives.

The Port is the most modern fun gathering place and has a wide and exclusive offer of places for all tastes and during the warmest months, the Playa de San Juan starts operating its fantastic fun structure.
